Spelling List

Please practice these spelling words with your child every night. They will have a test on Thursday. If they make a 100 on Thursday, they will not have to take it again on Friday. If they do not make a 100, they will have to re-take it on Friday.


  Spelling Word Tips  
There are more ways to study spelling words than just writing them over and over with a pencil. Try letting your child use markers or colored pencils. Magnetic letters are also a great way to practice spelling words.

VOCABULARY WORDS AND DEFINITIONS

1. Deaf - not able to hear well or not able to hear at all (adjective)
2. Languge - a set of signs, ,symbols, or movements used to express meaning (noun)
3. Signing - 1. using sign language; making gestures that convey information. 2. writing one's name (verb)
4. Cultures - ways of life, ideas, customs, and traditions (noun)
5. Relatives - members of your family (noun)
6. Celebrate - to do something (verb)
